Gutter Guard Installation in Kiama

We're based in Berry, about 20–25 minutes from Kiama — a local family business, not a crew travelling down from up the coast. We fit gutter guard from the harbour cottages to Kiama Downs, Minnamurra and Kiama Heights.

  • Fixed-price written quote
  • 15-year manufacturer's product warranty
  • Photo report on every job
  • Colorbond® colour matched

Salt is the main event in Kiama

Homes on the headlands, around Blowhole Point, Kendalls Beach, Surf Beach and along the Kiama Downs foreshore are in a high marine corrosion zone. Salt collects in the base of the gutter and at the downpipe outlets, and once leaf litter traps moisture on top of it the protective coating fails.

That's why we default to aluminium mesh in Kiama rather than steel, colour matched to your Colorbond® roof. On older iron roofs near the harbour where salt has already done damage, gutter replacement rather than gutter guard is sometimes the honest recommendation.

Norfolk pines, figs and the escarpment side

The Norfolk Island pines along the foreshore and through Kendalls Beach drop needles constantly, and pine needles slip through coarse mesh and knit into a mat — fine aluminium mesh is the fix. Figs around the older streets drop small fruit that plugs downpipe outlets.

Properties on the western side toward Jamberoo, Saddleback Mountain and Foxground are in mapped bushfire-prone land. For those homes we fit AS 3959-compliant ember mesh at 2mm or finer.

What Kiama locals say

“Such excellent service is rare these days, but Keith provides a detailed review of your property and gutter protection requirements, then completes the task with skill. He arrived on time and completed the installation as expected. The result was excellent. It is a great product, and we now feel safer if fires come and no more getting up on the roof and risking life to clean gutters. Highly recommended.”

“Very professional gutter guard installation with high attention to detail and remedied previous poor work.”
Sharon Miskell · Google review
“Keith did an outstanding job installing gutter guards on my home. My gutters were constantly clogged with leaves, leading to water overflow, puddles around the house and ultimately cracks in my walls from ground movements. From reaching out for a quote to completing the installation was a very professional and pleasant experience and no puddles anymore. Keith was incredibly friendly and professional and I would highly recommend.”

Gutter guard FAQs — Kiama

+Why aluminium mesh rather than steel in Kiama?

Kiama's coastal homes sit in a high marine corrosion zone. Aluminium handles salt better than steel, which is why we default to it here.

+Will gutter guard stop Norfolk pine needles?

Fine aluminium mesh stops pine needles that slip straight through coarse mesh. Fine grit can still settle, so plan on a quick check once a year or so.

+Do I need ember mesh in Kiama?

On the coastal strip the driver is corrosion rather than fire. Homes toward Jamberoo, Saddleback Mountain and Foxground are in mapped bushfire-prone land, and there we fit AS 3959-compliant ember mesh at 2mm or finer.

+My gutters near the harbour are rusty — is gutter guard still worth it?

Not always. Where salt has already damaged older iron gutters, replacement is sometimes the honest recommendation. Keith will tell you on the free measure-up.

+How much does gutter guard cost in Kiama?

It depends on the mesh, your roof and the size of your home. Most single-storey homes are $2,100–$3,500 fully installed, with a fixed price in writing — no callout fee.
