Pre-sale roof and gutter clean on a corrugated Colorbond home in Wattamolla — moss, lichen and gutter debris removed to lift street appeal and give buyers confidence before inspection day.

The challenge

The homeowners were preparing the property for sale and the roof was letting the street appeal down. Corrugated Colorbond sheets were streaked with dark moss and lichen, the gutters were full of leaf litter and broken-down organic matter, and downpipes were slow to drain after rain. In Wattamolla's leafy, high-humidity setting, roofs can age visually within a few seasons even when structurally sound — and first impressions on listing photos matter.

What we did

We completed a low-pressure roof soft wash using solutions safe for Colorbond, lifting the moss and lichen without damaging the protective coating or forcing water under the laps. Gutters were hand-cleared, downpipes flushed and flow-tested, and all debris was bagged and removed. The work was carried out with roof-safe access (Keith holds RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights and a NSW White Card) and we supplied a before-and-after photo report for the listing agent.

The outcome
